Clothing sewn and dyed to order in San Francisco at the Cut Loose factory will be featured during a spring/summer trunk show event at The Wardrobe store in downtown Davis on Saturday, April 28.

Wardrobe owner and style coach Heather Caswell is proud of her store’s support for local businesses and manufacturers.Their west coast representative, Susan Burris, will be greeting Wardrobe shoppers and answering questions about the line that is “known for fun dressing in a relaxed style…clothes that are simple to launderand easy to pack, unpack and wear.”

Caswell points out that the dyes used “keeps their environmental footprint as light as possible. Cut Loose dyes are nontoxic, and they neutralize their waste water so the salt doesn’t corrode the city’s pipes. Fabric tests are repurposed into scarves, napkins, market bags and even scrunchies.” Cut Loose also does trunk shows in England and Canada. The company was started in the late 1970’s.

Fabrics featured from the line include novelty cotton knits, linen, rayon (made from wood cellulose), Tencel (made from cotton linter) and various blends. Twenty summer 2018 colors will be available of Cut Loose’s entire summer line, including the top colors of the season French Lavender and Flagstone.

“It’s our top line for the 21st century,” adds Caswell, pointing out that the shapes are simple and pieces can be combined for a sophisticated and flattering look for all ages. She is adding a free gift with each Cut Loose purchase during the April 28th event.
